Tom Andrews is the owner and principal of American West Construction. Tom founded the company and has quickly excelled in leading his team to form a dedicated commercial construction company in Boise, Idaho. 

Through Tom’s 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a well-known construction company in Eagle, Idaho, Tom has brought forth his experiences, skill, ability, passion, leadership qualities, and loyal values in creating a company he has determined to be set in hard work ethic, passion for the industry, and constant reflection for growth and innovation. 

Tom began his career in the commercial construction industry in 2012 after graduating with a B.S. in Construction Management from Boise State University with a Minor in Business Management. Tom has gained extremely valuable certifications and accreditations throughout his career, proving his ability to build high quality projects. His certifications include, but are not limited to: Construction Management Certification, LEED Accredited Professional, US Army Corp of Engineers Quality Control, OSHA 30-hour Competent Person Training, NESHAP Certificate, AIC-American Institute of Contractors, Sediment & Erosion Control- Responsible Person, Lead Safety Training, and Proficient in AutoCad & Building Information Modeling (BIM). 

In his last five years at his previous company, Tom led over $50M in Design-Build work for the Idaho Military Division while simultaneously managing dozens of tenant improvement projects and new builds for private entities in the Treasure Valley.  

His day-to-day operations consists of on-site direction of subcontractors, budget management, schedule management, contract administration, Architect and Owner logistical support, Safety, Quality Control, performance documentation, Record Drawings, resolution of RFI’s and change orders. 

Through Tom’s management skills, customer service loyalty, and an innate passion for construction projects start to finish, Tom has excelled in maintaining client relationships.

Tom has the ability, experience and skill to remain steadfast and confident in his day-to-day operations. He remains detail-oriented and has strong leadership skills to lead and grow his exciting new company, American West Construction. 

As the owner of his company, American West Construction, he maintains his role as lead project manager as his company takes flight. He brings his past experiences to the table and continues to implement and model his exemplary duty as a leader in the construction management industry.
